The Erik Smith Swish Ride cymbal is part of the Signature Series of cymbals from Istanbul Mehmet and if we do say so our ourselves the Signature Series is bursting with drummer collaborations that make for some super swanky cymbal sounds.

Designed in collaboration with Norwegian drummer, Erik Smith, the Istanbul Mehmet Erik Smith series of cymbals pays homage to a long time endorser of Istanbul Mehmet Cymbals. Erik is recognised as a versatile and seasoned drummer who has had a long and fruitful drumming career playing alongside the likes of Donna Summer an Josh Groban to name but a few. The Istanbul Mehmet 22" Erik Smith Swish Ride is a versatile cymbal which has been created using a high grade B20 bronze alloy which features an X-Cast finish and 18 rivets on the bell side of the cymbal. The X-Cast finish has a bigger bell which makes for a weightier ride sound with more volume and overtones whilst the rivets allow for a flawlessly smooth swish sound. Overall the sound produced by this ride cymbal is dark yet punchy perfect for slick, smooth jazz performances. 

All of the cymbals from Istanbul Mehmet are created using traditional cymbal making techniques and are handcrafted to perfection and this is another stunning example of the high quality that oozes from Istanbul Mehmet cymbals.
